👉 We were delighted to present the latest research from the CIRCULess project at the 22nd European Conference on Composite Materials (ECCM22), held in Oslo, Norway, from 21–25 June 2026. Bringing together around 1,500 participants from academia, research, and industry, ECCM22 provided an excellent platform to exchange knowledge and discuss the future of sustainable composite materials.

👏 A big congratulations to our CIRCULess researchers who presented their work:

🔹 Maximilian Stöckle (ASEMlab) – “On the development of wood-plastic composites with reclaimed raw materials employing 3D printing and injection molding”

🔹 Chrysoula Tzina (ASEMlab) – “Development of quality control strategies for reclaimed timber towards optimized upcycling”

🔹 Ahmed Sedky M. Elsayed (ASEMlab) – “Robotic processing of reclaimed timber”

🔹 Christina Podara (R-NanoLab) – “Sustainable polypropylene composites reinforced with construction and demolition wood waste: Processing, characterization and optimization”

🔎 Together, these presentations highlighted the latest advances in recovering, characterizing, processing, and upcycling reclaimed timber and construction and demolition wood waste into high-value composite materials. They also demonstrated how CIRCULess is combining robotics, digital technologies, advanced material characterization, and sustainable manufacturing to support a more circular construction sector.

🌟 We would also like to give a special recognition to the CIRCULess Project Coordinator, Prof. Sotirios Grammatikos, who served as Conference Chair of the event. Together with the volunteers and colleagues at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) who organized ECCM22, the event was a huge success.
