🌎On 21–22 October 2026, CIRCULess was presented at the A.SPIRE Industrial Innovation Days 2026 in Brussels, by our project coordinator, Prof. Sotirios Grammatikos (NTNU), at the Processes4Planet Partnership Project Results Workshop.
As Prof. Grammatikos pointed out, “CIRCULess is a unique project, that deals with the circularity of both concrete and timber C&D waste”. Although they are both structural materials, they have received largely uneven attention in terms of research.
👉 In CIRCULess, we use knowledge-transfer between the 2 material-worlds, in an attempt to create optimum recycling and upcycling results. Our big driver is digitalization, which with the recent expansion of LLMs, has given CIRCULess partners an unimaginable boost. As we move forward in the project timeline, we see clearly the digital tools of the project taking shape faster, together with AI-assisted quality assessment, AI-assisted decision-making, advanced processing and new material developments.
In the final stretch of the project, we will focus on the 2 demonstrators, that will reveal the ability of CIRCULess Digital Waste Management Platform; a dream that is becoming a reality!
