From 21–23 September 2026, the 2nd International Waste to Materials Conference (W2M) took place at the DTU – Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen, bringing together researchers, industry experts and stakeholders to explore innovative approaches to transforming waste into valuable resources for the building and construction sector.
The CIRCULess project was represented by Marta Dias from the DTU – Technical University of Denmark, where she stated that “In circularity practices, major mechanisms of value loss are cascade truncation and grade under-evaluation”. This insight highlights the need to move beyond simply recycling materials towards preserving their quality, functionality and value across multiple life cycles.
At CIRCULess, this aligns closely with our mission to advance circular construction materials, improve resource efficiency and support innovative solutions that retain material value within the construction sector.
